America As The Melting Pot
The United States of America consists of many different nationalities. The first known permanent settlement in America was established in 1565 in St. Augustine, Florida, by the Spanish.

The Great Migration occurred in the 1630s when Massachusetts population escalated to 21,000 immigrants, mostly from the British Isles. In the 1700s, about 250,000 residents inhabited the colonies. Twenty years after, the population jumped to 475,000.
The Irish are the second largest nationality group, behind Germans, to immigrate to America. They were crucial in the construction of this country.
